Croatian. Lijep, bujan, zeleni travnjak ponos je svakog vlasnika okućnice. Obično se misli da je za lijep izgled travnjaka i gustu, bujnu travu najviše zaslužan dobar odabir sjemena i redovito održavanje. Dakako da su ti čimbenici itekako važni za dobar izgled travnjaka, no daleko je važnija pravilna i temeljita priprema terena. Nijedan vrt, bez obzira koliko bio održavan, ne izgleda uredno ako su zapuštene travnate površine. Najpovoljnije vrijeme za formiranje travnjaka je jesen. Zemlja je dovoljno vlažna i temperature su dovoljno visoke za rast trave.

It is usually thought that a good choice of seed and regular maintenance are the most important factors for a nice looking lawn and a thick, lush grass. It is certainly true that these factors are very important for a good looking lawn, but a proper and careful terrain preparation is far more important. No garden, regardless of its maintenance, looks nice if its grasslands are neglected. Fall is the most favorable time to form a lawn. The soil is wet enough and temperatures are high enough for grass to grow.
