The need to assess the investment attractiveness of agricultural enterprises

in the modern world, there is competition among various spheres and areas of activity of eco-nomic entities. The agricultural sector is no exception. This segment of a multi-layered economy provides a strategic purpose for fulfilling the conditions of food security, both at the level of individual regions, coun-tries and on a global scale. This direction provides the principle of continuity of activity. Enterprises of the agro-industrial complex, in order to ensure the degree of competitiveness and growth of gross output, need additional support that provides financial investments in fixed assets and other areas of production activity. The article considers the issues of the need to assess the investment attractiveness of agricultural enterprises in order to enable the participation of agricultural enterprises in priority investment projects and other types of investment. The authors of the article consider in detail additional sources of financing of the production process in the Federal Districts of the Russian Federation. A rating assessment of risks when investing in the fixed capi-tal of the country's regions, including unfavorable conditions for production and dependence on borrowed capital, was carried out. A methodology is proposed for assessing the investment attractiveness of agricultur-al enterprises using a number of key indicators, the main of which are indicators of business activity of commercial-type enterprises, divided into 2 groups – turnover indicators and asset management indicators, which will contribute to a real assessment of the profitable investment of potential investors. The considered approach to determining investment attractiveness will allow the agricultural sector of the economy to develop more dynamically, with the increasing role of active capital management. Investments in capital will affect not only the economic indicators of the development of territories, but will also stimu-late scientific developments and their application.
