Efficiency of natural and artificial reforestation in the burnt out areas of the West-Siberian north taiga lowland forest region | Эффективность естественного и искусственного лесовосстановления на гарях Западно-Сибирского северо-таежного равнинного лесного района

English. The effectiveness of forest crops and natural reforestation on the burned areas of the northern taiga subzone in the West-Siberian northern taiga plain forest is analyzed. Reforestation on fire sites should be carried out on a zonal-typological basis. The studies were carried out in accordance with the well-known methods tested on permanent trial plots. The burned area were developed in 2012, the cultures of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) and Siberian cedar (P. sibirica Du Tour.) created on them at different times were examined in 2021. The processes of natural reforestation begin immediately after clearing hire sites, but the undergrowth that has appeared is destroyed when preparing the soil for forest crops. It has been found all forest crops created on burned areas are characterized by relatively low safety and require addition work. From 24 to 70% of planted specimens is dying. The main reason for the death of seedlings is the overgrowth of burned areas with soft-wooded broadleaved species the undergrowth of which is larger and more viable than the undergrowth of pine. In 5 years after the fire, the creation of forest crops in the burned areas is actually a reconstruction of soft-wooded broadleaved young forests. It is necessary to carry out forestry tending in order to ensure the formation of pine plantations. Taking into account the specifics of the climatic conditions of the west Siberian north taiga plain forest region in the presence of seed trees it is advisable to abandon forest plantations on burned areas, ensuring the formation of mixed coniferous plantations by thinning. In view of the ecological role of European white birch (Betula pendula Roth.) and pubescent birch (Betula pubescens Ehrth.) and their seed origin, it is advisable to transfer these species into the category of the main species in forestry in the West-Sibirian northern taiga plain forest.

Russian. Проанализирована эффективность лесных культур и естественного лесовозобновления на гарях подзоны северной тайги в Западно-Сибирском северо-таежном равнинном лесном районе. Лесовосстановление на гарях должно осуществляться на зонально-типологической основе. Исследования проводились в соответствии с широко известными апробированными методиками на постоянных пробных площадях. Гари были разработаны в 2012 г., созданные на них в разное время культуры сосны обыкновенной (Pinus sylvestris L.) и сосны сибирской (P. sibirica Du Tour.) обследованы в 2021 г. Процессы естественного лесовозобновления начинаются сразу после расчистки гарей, но появившийся подрост уничтожается при подготовке почвы под лесные культуры. Установлено, что все лесные культуры, созданные на гарях, характеризуются относительно низкой сохранностью и требуют работ по дополнению. Погибает от 24 до 70% посаженных экземпляров. Основной причиной гибели сеянцев является зарастание гарей мягколиственными породами, подрост которых крупнее и жизнеспособнее, чем подрост сосны. Спустя 5 лет после пожара создание лесных культур на гарях фактически представляет собой реконструкцию мягколиственных молодняков. Для обеспечения формирования сосновых насаждений требуется проведение лесоводственных уходов. Учитывая специфику климатических условий Западно-Сибирского северо-таежного равнинного лесного района, при наличии обсеменителей целесообразно отказаться от лесных культур на гарях, обеспечивая формирование смешанных хвойных насаждений рубками ухода. Учитывая экологическую роль берез повислой (Betula pendula Roth.) и пушистой (Betula pubescens Ehrh.) и их семенное происхождение, целесообразно перевести эти породы в разряд главных при ведении лесного хозяйства в Западно-Сибирском северо-таежном равнинном лесном районе.
