Multispectral images of agricultural landscapes as a tool for detecting heterogeneity of soil fertility | Мультиспектральные изображения агроландшафтов как инструмент выявления неоднородности почвенного плодородия

The aim of the work was to identify the causes of soil fertility heterogeneity and assess the state of spring wheat crops in the agrolandscape of the steppe zone of the Omsk region by an analysis of multispectral images. The studies were carried out in on the production field array. There was studied the soil cover represented by meadow-chernozem soil, and the spring wheat 'OmGAU-100' crops as an indicator of soil fertility. There were analyzed multispectral images obtained by surveying the earth's surface with the Sentinel-2 L2A satellite. The satellite data were processed in the ENVI and QGIS software packages using the Sentinel Нab, Land Viewer, and Vega PRO Internet platforms of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 4 areas, differing in the density of wheat standing and the spectral characteristics of the surface, wells were staked to a depth of 100 cm and soil samples were taken every 10 cm. In them, the reaction of the environment, the content of humus and easily soluble salts were determined. An analysis of the values of the NDVI, EVI, NDMI, Agriculture indices indicated the spatial variability of wheat biomass. It was established that the reasons for the heterogeneity of crops were microrelief, uneven distribution of moisture over the surface and soil properties. In the control plot, the meadow-chernozem soil contained readily soluble salts from a depth of 50 cm and was classified as medium mid-solonchak-like slightly saline soil. In areas with sparse vegetation, the soil was highly saline solonchak. The use of vegetation indices to identify the heterogeneity of soil fertility in the early phases of wheat development was complicated by the influence of the microrelief, waterlogging of microdepressions, and the development of weeds. The relationship between the values of vegetation indices and the value of the above-ground mass of wheat, as an indicator of fertility, was more clearly manifested by the end of its vegetation, starting from the earing phase. It has been concluded about a possibility of using multispectral images to identify the heterogeneity of soil fertility in the steppe agricultural landscapes of the Omsk Irtysh region.

Цели работы – выявление причин неоднородности почвенного плодородия и оценка состояния посевов яровой пшеницы в агроландшафте степной зоны Омской области путем анализа мультиспектральных снимков. Исследования проводили в 2021 г. на производственном массиве поля. Изучали почвенный покров, представленный лугово-черноземной почвой, и посев яровой пшеницы сорта ОмГАУ-100 как индикатор почвенного плодородия. Анализировали мультиспектральные изображения, полученные при съемке поверхности земли спутником Sentinel-2 L2A. Спутниковые данные обрабатывали в программных комплексах ENVI и QGIS на интернет-платформах Sentinel Нab, Land Viewer, Вега PRO Института космических исследований РАН. На 4 участках, различающихся густотой стояния пшеницы и спектральными характеристиками поверхности, были заложены скважины до глубины 100 см и отобраны пробы почвы через каждые 10 см. В них определяли реакцию среды, содержание гумуса и легкорастворимых солей. Анализ величин индексов NDVI, EVI, NDMI, Agriculture указывал на пространственную вариабельность биомассы пшеницы. Установлено, что причинами неоднородности посевов были микрорельеф, неравномерное распределение по поверхности влаги и свойства почвы. На контрольном участке лугово-черноземная почва содержала легкорастворимые соли с глубины 50 см и была классифицирована как среднесолончаковатая слабозасоленная. На участках с изреженной растительностью почва была солончаковой сильнозасоленной. Использование вегетационных индексов для выявления неоднородности почвенного плодородия в ранние фазы развития пшеницы осложнялось влиянием микрорельефа, переувлажнением микропонижений и развитием сорной растительности. Связь значений вегетационных индексов с величиной надземной массы пшеницы как показателя плодородия более отчетливо проявлялось к концу ее вегетации, начиная с фазы колошения. Сделан вывод о возможности применения мультиспектральных снимков для выявления неоднородности почвенного плодородия степных агроландшафтов Омского Прииртышья.
