The aim of the study was to quantify α-SMA+ cells at various stages of experimental liver fibrosis in Wistar rats. Fibrosis in Wistar rats was induced with thioacetamide for 17 weeks. Morphological analysis of the liver was performed on paraffin sections stained with hematoxylin and eosin, by the method of Mallory and mouse monoclonal antibody α-SMA. During the initiation and development of chemical-induced liver fibrosis, the increase in the number of stellate cells with the α-SMA+ phenotype occurs non-linearly. More active phases of their accumulation are noted at the stages of fibrosis F3/F4 and F6 – reliable cirrhosis. At the same time, the increase in the amount of connective tissue is carried out more evenly. / Цель исследования состояла в количественной оценке α-SMA+ клеток на разных стадиях экспериментального фиброза печени у крыс Wistar. В течении 17 недель у крыс-самцов Wistar свежеприготовленным раствором тиоацетамида индуцировали фиброгенез с трансформацией в цирроз. Морфологическое исследование печени проводили на парафиновых срезах, окрашенных гематоксилином и эозином, методом Маллори и моноклональным мышиным антителом α-SMA. В ходе инициации и развития фиброза печени, индуцированного химическим веществом, рост числа звездчатых клеток с фенотипом α-SMA+ происходил нелинейно. Отмечались более активные фазы их накопления на стадиях фиброза F3/F4 и F6 – достоверного цирроза. При этом увеличение количества соединительной ткани осуществлялось более равномерно.
