This International Catalog og Cacaco Cultivar is the result of the combined labors of numerous specialists who have contributed, at various times and in diverse ways, to the realization of the hopes of cacao geneticists for many years. CATIE hopes that the Catalog will help to resolve the numeroous problems associated with the identification of cacao collections, as well as to promote the selection and genetic improvement work which the countries of Central and South America need so much.
