Excepting for the southern-most part, the Jammu province is all hillterrain, traversed by the rivers and streams. The majority of the streams inthe province are seasonal and carry very little water throughout the year. Theprincipal commercial fisheries are constituted by the masheer {Tor putHora),Barilius bendelisis chedra, the snow trout {Oreinus plagiostomus), Garra gotylaand Labeo dero in order of their abundance in the catches
