The objective of TVA's fertilizer technology demonstrations is to make results from research, development, and demonstration production programs available to industry to facilitate their adoption. Ultimately the implementation of new and improved technology will improve farm productivity and help minimize production costs for food and fiber.
Show more [+] Less [-]These fertilizer technology demonstrations are biennial affairs. The TVA fertilizer program has become increasingly oriented to conservation of energy and nonrenewable mineral resources, increasing the efficiency of fertilizer use, and finding alternatives to use of natural gas and oil in fertilizer production. Most of the projects that will be shown reflect these factors.
