A progression model for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Program

Abstract: This project sought to develop a model to demonstrate idealized Cooperative Extension Service program structures to accommodate true progression. The requirements specified for the model were that it support the establishment of reasonable objectives for individual program participants; help in the establishment of criteria for moving a participant out of the program; foster an achievement-oriented philosophy among both program workers and participants by demonstrating progression of families within the program and beyond the program; and improve the cost-to-handle operation of the program by providing means for using objective information about educational effects as a basis for decisions about allocation of program resources.
