Extract: Population growth and changes in real income, food import prices, domestic food production, food aid, and foreign reserves are the principal economic factors, as well as changes in import polcy, affecting Trinidad and Tobago's food imports. The U.S. share of Trinidad and Tobago's $295 million food import market in 1980 was $105 million. The outlook is for continued growth, with the 1985 U.S. share forecast at $180 million.
