This report describes the economy of the Russell Region of Manitoba. the emphasis is on grain farms and on the comunities and facilities that serve them and how the region could be affected by changes in the railway lines serving it. the five major parts of the report are: community attributes, grain production characteristics of the region, the grain handling and marketing system, effect of closing of some grain delivery points and the activities of the three main regulatory bodies that govern the grain industry in Canada.
