The records include correspondence, memoranda, reports, proposals for experiments, project outlines and reports, experimental analyses results, scientific data, patent applications, blueprints for construction of facilities and equipment, and photographs r egarding the conduct of research on rubber extraction, processing and byproduct utilization, principally from guayule shrubs. The records also include a name index to research reports, citing author, title, date issued, and file designation. In addition, the records incorporate correspondence, studies, and reports of research results created in connection with the Emergency Rubber Project of World War II, as well as correspondence and research reports accumulated by the Intercontinental Rubber Company in the prewar period.
