Abstract: The importance of developing good food habits while young, and ways to help your child develop these habits are examined. Tips for making mealtime a pleasant experience and thus avoiding food behavior problems are given. A daily food guide shows number and sizes of servings for 1-2 and 3-5 year olds. Some WIC foods and the nutrients they provide are identified. Snack suggestions and iron-rich foods are listed.
