Floods and accelerated erosion in northern Utah
1934
Bailey, Reed W. (Reed Warner) | Becraft, R. J. | Forsling, C. L. (Clarence Luther)
The purpose of this publication is to present geologic evidence and to point out the conclusion that recent floods in northern Utah constitute abnormal run-off and accelerated erosion and thereby mark a change from the normal range of gradation of the present geologic epoch and climate. The authors present evidence tending to show that this condition is attributable chiefly to the depletion of plant cover on the watersheds of the drainages involved.
