InShape!
1983
As a tool for monitoring diet and exercise, In-Shape permits storage, analysis and retrieval of up to a year's worth of daily food intake and physical activity data. Food items for diet analysis are chosen from a 1,000-food dictionary which appears on the monitor. New foods may be added to the dictionary. All foods are analyzed for carbohydrate, protein, fat and calories. Aerobic "points" are calculated from the time spent engaged in any of 24 exercises. Actual and target weight data can be stored for use in analyses. Printouts include 1) daily diet analysis by meal, 2) daily total intake by food group and meal, 3) daily exercise and diet summaries, and 4) 60-day or 52-week plots of food consumption and exercise using a variety of parameters (nutrients, food groups, calories, weight, exercise points, or exercise time or distance). There is no printed copy of the database provided by the producer.
