Callahan, Philip S.
The Philip S. Callahan papers consist of articles, publications, correspondence, and other reference materials used throughout his career. Original research materials are not present. From www.gap.entclub.org/taxonomists/Callahan/index.html: his research involved the utilization of nonlinear far infrared radiation by biological systems and its application to insect communication based on waveguide characteristics of insect spines and postulated that such spines are thermoelectret-coated dielectric waveguide aerials with the ability to receive short wavelength IR and microwave frequencies. His work in biophysics might be best called studies in insect molecular bioelectronics.
