Extract: This bulletin presents examples of an economic analysis of proposed investments in two projects: (1) a vineyard to produce wine grapes and (2) a small-scale winery. The analysis uses the net present value method of evaluating investment proposals. Prior to the investment analysis, some background on the New York grape and wine industry will be presented.
