Over 8000 brand names and basic foods with their calorie and carbohydrate content using household measurements are listed alphabetically in the dictionary. Certain foods are reported together rather than aphabetically for ease of retrieval. These groups a re: baby foods; bread; cake; cake icing; cake icing mix; cake mix; cracker; gravy; pie; pie filling; salad; salad dressing; sauce; sausage; soft drinks; soup; and, syrups. All entrees where data were avalable from the U.S. Department of Agriculture figures are shown first as the Department values represent averages from several manufacturers and are shown in comparison with values from individual companies and where particular brands are not available.
