Managing group creativity
1984
VanGundy, Arthur B.
Abstract: A text for managers promotes a modular approach to group activities and creative problem solving by groups. By analyzing the relevance of each module to a particular problem, the manager can develop an overall problem-solving strategy that is tailored to a specific group. The text material is based on the idea that group creativity can be managed and will respond to basic behavior principles. Fourteen chapters address the context of group creative problem solving, some of the major inputs involved in group problem solving, the content model (group composition and tasks), the process module (redefining the problem; generating, selecting and implementing ideas), the product module, and the outcomes (evaluation) module. A bibliography and index are included. (wz).
