Abstract: This unit of nutrition education learning activities is intended to be used with grade 2. In this unit, students learn that all foods give them energy and that their bodies need energy to move. The students also learn that food from plants and an imals are classified into four food groups and that these foods go through many steps to get from the farm to the home. Instructional aids with this unit include worksheets, food picture cards, food production sequence cards, and posters.
