Abstract: A 1962 Canadian technical report described the results of the pilot scale potato irradiation program conducted during 1961-62. It was concluded that an 8000 rad irradiation dose provided excellent sprout control and that gamma radiation using a Co-60 source did not affect potato breakdown rates during storage.
