1978
Wadsworth, G.R.
Fruit may not be essential in human diets except in a few communities which depend on it for their existence; however, the color, bloom, flavor, aroma and physical consistency of fruit are important contributions to the quality of life. An overview of the subject focuses on the history of fruit, recent advances in the production of fruit, economic considerations, its use in some communities, and physiological and patho physiological aspects. Tables show the composition and fiber content of some fruits.
