Trace elements in water
1979
Masironi, R.
Evidence is accumulating that the normal intake of water supplies an appreciable proportion of the body's daily needs for several minerals that have specific effects on health: lithium, chromium, fluorine, iodine, silicon, calcium, magnesium, copper, iron, and zinc. Most modern food has been industrially manipulated, and has lost trace elements before home cooking. Further loss occurs when food is cooked in softened water. Several recommendations for limiting the practice of water softening are advanced.
