Recommendations on fertilizer of corn and soybean crops in Kaur District, Bengkulu

Fertilization is a component of the production technology that affects the increase in crop production. Recommendations for fertilizing crops, particularly corn and soybean, are very limited. The aim of this study was to get fertilizer recommendations for crops, namely corn and soybean crops. This study was conducted in Kaur District, Bengkulu which includes two main activities, namely soil sampling and measuring the level of soil fertility and fertilizer recommendations by using dry land equipment test. The results showed that the recommendations of corn crop fertilizer for Luas, Muara Saung, Kaur Utara and Lungkang Kule Sub-districts were urea 300 kg/ha (+ organic matter) or 350 kg/ha (without organic matter), SP-36 125 kg/ha and KCl 100 kg/ha. The recommendations of maize crop fertilizer for Kaur Tengah, Kinal, Semidang Gumay, Tanjung Kemuning, Kelam Tengah and Padang Guci Ilir Sub-districts were urea 300 kg/ha (+organic matter) or 350 kg/ha (without organic matter), SP-36 125 kg/ha and KCl 75 kg/ha. The recommendations of maize crop fertilizer for Padang Guci Hulu was urea 300 kg/ha (+ organic matter) or 350 kg/ha (without organic matter), SP-36 125 kg/ha and KCl 50 kg/ha.
