SynopsisThe accumulation of water around a fertilizer band in a soil at a moisture content of 7.0% (pF 3.5) is shown to be due largely to water vapor diffusion and condensation, the rate of accumulation being affected by the type of salt, the temperature, and the degree of soil porosity.
