Registered dietitians are the most-valued resources of nutrition information, according to consumers; however, television and newspapers are where they get the majority of their information. With confidence attributed by consumers to our knowledge base, we need to use the media to reach consumers. By developing some media and communications skills, we can reach more consumers with positive science-based messages.
