Effect of B vitamins on the protein component of clusterbeans Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (L.) Taub
1987
Gōpālarāvu, Pulijāla | Reddy, C.D. | Ramaiah, J.K.
Pre-exposure of clusterbean plants to vitamins of the B group: thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine and folic acid resulted in a significant increase in protein content of the leaves and fruits which was also evident from the different protein patterns in the electrophorograms. The qualitative and quantitative changes in the proteins may be due to de novo synthesis or degradation of a high molecular weight protein.
