Field efficacy of acaricides for control of the lone star tick on cattle in southeastern Oklahoma
1981
Barnard, D.R. | Jones, B.G.
In 1979 and 1980, field trials with seven commercially available acaricides (coumaphos, dioxathion, lindane, malathion, ronnel, stirofos, and toxaphene) and one acaricide combination (toxaphene and lindane) applied as sprays to cattle in southeastern Oklahoma, showed each of these materials to give significant (P = 0.05) control of Amblyomma americanum (L.) at 24 h post treatment. No acaricide provided significant control at ≥1 week posttreatment.
