Examining the accuracy of foodservice in a hospital setting
1984
Glover, Nancy S. | Keane, Terence M.
Extract: A survey of meals served in an inpatient hospital during weekdays and weekends was conducted. Critical and general errors in tray accuracy were assessed. Error rates varied, with weekends and holidays showing the highest rates. Correlations suggested that total number of foodservice supervisors was related to the error rates, and further analysis demonstrated a strong inverse association of error rate with the presence of food production supervisors and professional personnel.
