Comparison of the number and the vigor of seedlings developed from enclosed and open-pollinated panicles of Poa pratensis suggested that some reduction in both vigor and number of seedlings may result from bagging to control pollination. However, these differences appeared to have uncertain significance. Generally, no important differences were found in adult plant variation between progenies from seed derived from enclosed and those obtained from open-pollinated panicles.
