Influence of Sod Treatment and Nitrogen Placement on the Utilization of Urea Nitrogen by Coastal Bermudagrass
1962
Jackson, James E. | Burton, Glenn W.
SynopsisLaboratory studies comparing urea and ammonium nitrate demonstrated a significant gaseous loss of urea nitrogen when applied to Coastal bermudagrass sod. This loss was insignificant when these materials were applied in March to freshly burned Coastal bermudagrass stubble or were placed 6 inches below the soil surface with special applicators.
