A new species and additional records of Carpelimus Leach, 1819 from Ukraine (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Oxytelinae)

Carpelimus impicus sp. n. from Odessa and Kherson Regions (Ukraine) is described and illustrated. Additional records of 17 species of Carpelimus Leach, 1819 from Ukraine are presented. Six of them – C. lindrothi lindrothi (Palm, 1943) (Kiev and Chernigov Regions), C. ganglbaueri (Bernhauer, 1901) (Kiev Region), C. heidenreichi (L. Benick, 1934) (Odessa and Chernigov Regions), C. manchuricus subtilicornis (Roubal, 1946) (Transcarpathian Region), C. simplicicollis simplicicollis (Wollaston, 1857) (Odessa Region), C. despectus (Baudi, 1869) (Kiev, Transcarpathian and Lvov Regions) – are new for the country. Moreover, C. ganglbaueri and C. simplicicollis are reported from Eastern Europe and the whole of Europe, respectively, for the first time.
