One-bond, geminal and vicinal ¹³C, ¹H coupling constants have been determined for 2-methyl-and 3,5-dimethyladamantane using the derivatives deuterated in position 2 and 1, respectively, and the relation ⁿJ(¹³C, ¹H) = 6,5144 ⁿJ(¹³C, ²H) for the conversion of the measured ⁿJ(¹³C, ²H) values. The effect of methyl-substitution on these parameters is discussed.
