Tabercetimines A-D, four new quaternary monoterpenoid indole alkaloids with rare skeleton characterized by a quinuclidine moiety were isolated from the stems of Tabernaemontana divaricata. The structures and their absolute configurations were elucidated by extensive analysis of MS, NMR, ECD, and X-ray diffraction. A plausible biogenetic pathway of 1 was also proposed.
