The possibility of establishment of a new peach orchard by planting six cuttings per hole was studied. The dwarf rootstock of P. pumila L. 'Pumiselekt' which was selected by Professor H. Jacob was used in our experiment in the years 1999-2001. Study of the cuttings included time of plantation, use of IBA stimulation, bottom heat callusing, position of cutting on one-year shoot and rooting ability, height and diameter of one-year old shoots. Time of planting, IBA stimulation and the bottom heat callusing have not shown significant differences between variants. Only the position of cuttings on the shoot have shown significant differences. Bottom heat callusing was not shown to have a significant effect on the height and diameter of one-year-old shoots.
