Effects of poly- and orthophosphates on the dynamics of some macro- and micro- nutrient elements in soil material of varied pH. I. Comparison of nutrient element content in soil determined by the methods of Egner-Riehm-Domingo and Rinkis

Content of phosphorus (P), potassium (K), manganese (Mn), zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), and iron (Fe) in soil material was determined using the methods of Rinkis (R) and Egner-Riehm-Domingo (AL). Advantage was taken of soil from laboratory experiments in which different pH values were used and different fertilization rates with P and K in form of potassium polyphosphate (KPO3)n' potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KH2PO4), and triple superphosphate+potassium chloride (KCl), and fertilization with Mn, Zn, and Cu. Highly significant positive correlation between P, K, Mn, Zn, Cu, and Fe content in soil as determined by the R method compared to the AL method suggests the possibility of using one of the examined solutions for a simultaneous extraction of the elements. The coefficients use to recalculate the method R into method AL were: P-1.8, K-1, Mn-1.3, Zn-1.5, Cu-2.7, and Fe-2.7.
