Forschungsbohrung Altdorf bei Landshut/Niederbayern – Repräsentative Grundwasserbeprobung von Lockergesteinsaquiferen im Zuge einer Kernbohrung

For hydrogeological investigations of the 400 m thick Tertiary sediments on top of the Landshut-Neuöttinger Hoch a core drilling was carried out. A special method allowing representative in-situ groundwater sampling of the different sand-aquifers encountered in the uncased borehole has been developed. The sampling method and measuring techniques are described in detail. The groundwater samples show a content of less than 0.1 percent drilling fluid.
