1)The starch industry has at its disposal jet separators of different size with normal equipment and especially with two special equipments, namely with washing device or with inner circulation. 2)The inner and outer circulation and their significance for the concentration control were discussed. 3)Examples were given for the use of separators in the corn and potatostarch factory and the re‐circulation ratio typical in the process technique for countercurrent processes was mentioned. 4)For a quick judgement of the method of operation of jet separators the °Bé quantities picture was suggested. 5)A special construction of a concentration controller for separator plants was described.
