Review of the species allocated to the genus Satchellius (Oligochaeta: Lumbricidae) with description of a new species

The earthworm genus SatchelliusGates, 1975 is reviewed. On the basis of the presence of posterolateral calciferous sacs in segment 10 the species Dendrobaena alvaradoiMoreno, Jesus & Diaz Cosin, 1982 and Dendrobaena madeirensis (Michaelsen, 1891) are transferred to the genus Satchellius as comb. novae. The specimens reported as Allolobophora madeirensis by Zicsi (1969) from Madeira Island (Portugal) are described as Zophoscolex zicsianus sp. n.
