Who needs a hamburger maker?

Only plenty of promotion and the appeal of novelty can account for the millions of hamburger makers that have been sold. A dozen double hamburger makers were tested, and each was inconvenient to use. The cooked meat was not as appetizing as meat cooked in a frying pan or broiler. The flexibility of use, the convenience, cleanup, safety, and energy savings of the units are discussed. The models are ranked according to overall quality, and some are pictured.
