Growth regulators in pot culture of Chrysanthemum cultivars 'Paloma', 'Poranek' and 'Promyk'
1989
Zalewska, M.
Alar-85, Bercema-CCC and Bonzi were used in pot cultivation of Polish cultivars of chrysanthemum. The retardants were applied three times at a concentration 0,125% and twice at a concentration 0,250%. There was observed an effect of the preparations used on the growth and flowering of the plants formed without pinching off to obtain three unifloral shoots and three multifloral shoots as well as with pinching off to obtain nine unifloral and nine multifloral shoots. Alar applied at a concentration both 0,125 and 0,250% had the biggest dwarfing effect independent of the plants forming. The efficacy of Bercema and Bonzi was lower depending on a concentration of the solution used, on a cultivar and a way of shoots forming. The retardants applied, in most treatments, caused a slight delay (1-3 days) in the plants flowering.
