Dry Inoculum for Inoculating Alfalfa with Colletotrichum Trifolii
1969
Campbell, T. A. | Ostazeski, S. A. | Hanson, C. H.
Production and use of a dry anthracnose inoculum, which is as virulent and effective as wet inoculum, is described. Advantages are ease of storage, shipping, handling, and application; long shelf life; stability of culture; and low cost. Neither specialists nor specialized facilities are needed for production of inoculum or maintenance of virulent cultures. Dry inoculum is suited for screening large populations to isolate resistance.
