Extract: The general purpose of this study was to evaluate produce sellers' use of the farmers' markets in Louisiana during 1976. The specific objectives of the study were: 1. To determine the socio-economic characteristics of produce sellers at farmers' markets in Louisiana. 2. To ascertain information about the production operations of produce sellers. 3. To obtain information about the marketing operations of produce sellers, including volume of produce sold through farmers' markets, pricing methods used, and attitudes toward farmers' markets.
