Ex situ hydrodeoxygenation in biomass pyrolysis using molybdenum oxide and low pressure hydrogen
2015
Nolte, Michael W. | Zhang, Jing | Shanks, Brent H.
Biomass pyrolysis vapors were hydrodeoxygenated using MoO₃ and low pressure H₂ (1.8 bar Pₜₒₜₐₗ) in a tandem microreactor. High yields of mostly linear alkanes (C₁–C₆) and aromatics were achieved from the pyrolysis of cellulose, lignin, and corn stover feedstocks.
