A revision of the Anastrepha hastata species group (Diptera: Tephritidae)

This entomo-historical contribution reviews the setting up and development of dipterological organisations in Germany since 1976. It provides information on the earliest dipterological meetings, reports on changes of name, and contains a complete list of published reports on these meetings. In addition, the objectives and administrative structure of the groups are described as well as their fields of interest and their activities. Special attention is devoted to the present day Diptera Working Group ("Arbeitskreis Diptera" - AK DIPTERA) because it can now look back on a history of twenty years. All the dipterological meetings in Germany are listed in chronological order, and the numbers of participants at the various meetings are analysed.
