AIA's action on the total nitrogen and protein nitrogen content of the seeds of Triticum vulgare, Hordeum vulgare and Avena sativa grown at 30%, 60% and 90% of the capillary capacity of the sand studied over three years (1969, 1970, 1971). The total g-protein content related to cereal seed yield was higher under drought conditions (30% of capillary water capacity) following auxin treatment. The content (%) of total and protein nitrogen does not seem to be so altered in cereal grains as a result of auxin treatment.
