Acreage response functions for Ontario shelled corn, fodder corn, oats, barley, soybeans, mixed grain and winter wheat are presented. the acreage response functions are estimated using data from 1945 to 1971. the estimated equations are used to predict acreage in 1972 and 1973. in general, the acreage response of Ontario crops tends to be very elastic with respect to lagged price and yields.
