Helmithiases have long been recognized as an important cause of endemic disease in Korea. Consumption of undercooked or raw fish has played an increasingly important role in their transmission in recent years. The important organisms associated with freshwater, brackish water and marine fish species are described, their relative significance assessed and strategies for their control described.
