Resume: Le projet de loi no. 45 sur la protection du consommateur vise a reglementer la publicite et a proteger le consommateur contre des abus divers. Il cree egalement l'Office de protection du consommateur et un conseil consultatif. La loi repondrait donc aux expectatives des differents organismes cooperatifs qui avaient present aux autorites provinciales un memoire a ce sujet. Mention est faite egalement de certains articles de la nouvelle loi, qui interessentparticulierement le mouvement cooperatif. Summary: The draft bill on Consumer Protection seeks to protect consumers by regulating advertising and the terms of contracts consumers make with merchants. It creates a Consumer Protection Bureau and Advisory council. The law seems to have adopted the suggestions presented in a memorandum to provincial authorities by various cooperative organizations. Several articles of this law which particularly interest the coops are mentioned.
