Extract: The purpose of this study was to evaluate a number of the more important production, marketing, and risk management strategies available to farm operators in Southwestern Oklahoma. Specifically, the objectives were (1) to construct a model which would determine risk management alternatives available to producers in the area and (2) to evaluate the potential tradeoffs between expected income and variability of income under alternate assumptions regarding risk management strategies available to producers.
